I’ve spent much of my life aching to find higher truth and aliveness. After a long and painful journey out of Orthodox Judaism, into atheism, even nihilism, I found myself in an unplanned and undeniable encounter with God. I followed a divine calling to return to my Jewish roots. When I returned to Jewish life, I found a religion instead of covenant, the mundane in place of the holy.
While I remain engaged in institutional religious life, I cannot pretend to myself or my children that this is all there is. Mala Village was born from necessity and a deep obligation to awaken the human soul to God. If we don’t, our religious purpose is merely to kick the can down the road and hope for a better world in generations to come.
I am building a container to ask and explore: What are we doing? Is this working? What else can we try? My mission is to move beyond intellectual belief in God and to seek direct experience with divine energy in this world, in this time.
I am searching for property and funding to build this village. I bring experience building sacred spaces and guiding others on their journey into the inner flame of the soul.
